A student at university of Maryland has 12 in her food plan account she bought a cheeseburger for 6.75 2 slices of cake for 1.25 each and a soda for 1.95 if she gets a side salad for 2.50 how much money is left in her account

Total Spendings = 6.75, 2 x 1.25 = 2.50, 1.95, 2.50
= 13.7

Her spendings are greater than what she has, so I guess it's 0 then. Don't know where she got the extra 1.7 from.
